The forest is home
The trees comfort me
Shade and shelter
Marking the path
Through the wilderness
Ascending to the sky
Safety in the unknown
Speaking soft secrets in my ear
The gentle touch on my shoulder
Passing by on the trail
A reminder of the life
All around

  1. Beautiful scene. I have been trying to return to a trail that I sometimes walk, but high water does not permit me to go there yet this spring. The trail is framed by majestic, tall white pines. The pine scent is remarkable, and when the wind blows through the trees, you feel so close to the Almighty.
